Four inch fence posts are fixed in concrete to a depth of at least two feet - this insures stability of the fence and longevity of the timber.
A string line is run from one end to the other to ensure all posts are in a perfect line.
Boards are then nailed to the posts, using one inch spacers to ensure uniform gaps between slats. Posts are boarded on both sides at staggered depths to give privacy between gardens.
Our clients wanted to match their outbuilding with the new fence. We fixed battens and boards to the building, along with a new slatted gate to hide the path to the wood store.
To finish, the posts were cut off at a 45 degree angle to alleviate water damage.
The fence was finished with 'Up Down' wall lamps, illuminating the pathway and adding abience to the garden.
After adding cladding and new latches to the existing gate, the team were finished.
