After clearing the garden of unwanted, patchy turf, the team got to work on the decking.
Once the decking was in, we spread and whacked two tonnes of hardcore to creat a solid base on which to lay the paving. 50 slabs and a few tricky cuts later, we were finished.
We then compacted 1.5 tonnes of hardcore on top of a heavy duty weed membrane to give a solid base for the turf.
We then applied and compacted a layer of sand on top of the stone to give a smooth surface and softer underlay for the turf.
The team then intricately cut and fixed the artifical turf to the sand. Kiln dried sand is then brushed into the grass to help the fibres stand up and give a fuller look and feel to the grass.
